How are you today? I have been talking about words and the effect they have on a persons body and their whole being. Let's switch for a minute and talk about self-esteem and the effect of thoughts on self-esteem.
The dictionary defines self-esteem as pride in oneself, self-respect. Let's say a person has a low opinion of themselves. How can they change into a higher opinion of themselves? What methods have you used?
I am a great believer in the use of a mirror. I have talked into mirrors many times for different reasons. When I discovered that I could increase my self-esteem by my thoughts and words I went to my mirror and talked into as I looked into my eyes. I used words like: I love you Milton very much and I accept you just like you are. I have done this for many years and I can honestly say that my self-esteem has improved dramatically. Yes it takes work and persistence, but by your thoughts and your words you can change how you feel about yourself.
What methods have you used to increase your self-worth? I would be interested in knowing.
